Metallurgical Industry
The metallurgical industry refers to the sector engaged in the mining, selection, sintering of metal ores, and their subsequent smelting and processing into metallic materials. It is divided into: (1) The ferrous metallurgical industry, which produces iron, chromium, manganese, and their alloys, primarily supplying raw materials for modern industry, transportation, infrastructure construction, and military equipment; (2) The non-ferrous metallurgical industry, encompassing the refining of non-ferrous metals, including copper smelting, aluminum production, lead-zinc processing, nickel-cobalt production, tin refining, precious metals manufacturing, and rare metals processing.
