Power Station Industry
A power plant, also known as an electricity generation station, is a facility that converts various primary energy sources found in nature into electrical energy (secondary energy). By the late 19th century, with the growing demand for electricity, the concept of establishing centralized power production facilities emerged. Advances in motor manufacturing technology, the expanding applications of electrical energy, and the rapidly increasing industrial demand for electricity led to the development of power plants. There are several types of power plants: those that generate electricity through thermal energy are called thermal power plants; those that use hydropower are called hydroelectric power plants; and others utilize solar (photovoltaic), wind, or tidal energy.
