Water Resources Industry
Water conservancy projects are engineering structures constructed to control and regulate surface and groundwater in nature, aiming to mitigate hazards and harness their benefits. Also referred to as water engineering projects, water is an indispensable and valuable resource for human production and daily life; however, its natural state does not fully meet human needs. Only through the construction of water conservancy projects can water flows be controlled, flood disasters be prevented, and water volumes be regulated and distributed to meet the water resource requirements of both living and productive activities. These projects involve the construction of various hydraulic structures, including dams, embankments, spillways, sluices, intake outlets, canals, ferry routes, raftways, and fish passages.
