Next-Generation Gate Valve Enhances Safety and Sealing Reliability in Pipeline Systems
With increasing demands for safety and reliability in oil, gas, power generation, and chemical industries, the latest generation of gate valves has achieved significant improvements in sealing performance, structural integrity, and long-term durability.
First, in body design, modern gate valves feature wall thickness that meets or exceeds both national and international standards, ensuring superior resistance to high pressure, high temperature, and external impact. The chemical composition and mechanical properties of the main body material are strictly tested, with material test reports, test bars, and mechanical property reports all kept on file to guarantee full compliance.
The valve stem, a critical moving component, is manufactured with material chemistry meeting national standards and surface finish achieving required grades. Through corrosion-resistant nitriding or quenching and tempering heat treatment, the stem's wear resistance and corrosion resistance are greatly enhanced, ensuring smooth operation without galling or leakage over long-term service.
Dimensional tolerances of all components comply with national standards such as GB 1800-1804, ensuring full interchangeability of parts without the need for custom fitting. Every pressure-containing part undergoes 100% non-destructive examination, including radiographic testing (JB/T 6440), magnetic particle testing (JB/T 6439), and ultrasonic testing (JB/T 6903), eliminating internal defects and ensuring structural safety.
The seat ring structure features a separate threaded seat design, and the upper seal also adopts a separate threaded seat configuration, which simplifies maintenance and extends service life. Sealing surfaces are overlaid using plasma-transferred arc welding, achieving hardness levels that meet or exceed national standards (GB/T 12234-12236) with a sealing width greater than standard requirements. For power station gate valves, each sealing surface is 100% dye-penetrant inspected in accordance with JB/T 6902 to verify zero defects.
Before final assembly, the valve cavity is high-pressure sprayed with kerosene and anti-rust oil. After pressure testing, all test media are removed and a protective anti-rust oil coating is applied. Cavity cleanliness meets the JB/T 7748 standard, ensuring suitability for long-term storage without corrosion or contamination.
To back product quality, manufacturers now offer extended guarantees. Within 18 months of delivery, if a gate valve fails a sealing pressure test due to proven manufacturing defects, the producer guarantees a full replacement or refund, including covering all transportation costs.
As industrial systems demand higher safety standards, these advanced gate valves are rapidly becoming the preferred choice for engineers worldwide.
